Highland school is a private non-denominational Christian school based in Nyamata town of Bugesera district. It was founded in 2009 with 20 pupils and four teachers operating on rented dilapidated buildings in the catholic convent. The driving force behind Highland has been and still is to produce competent learners who will be true agents of positive transformation in the changing world.
To have an environment free of fruits of the flesh like; jealousy, fights, grief, and other malpractices
To have happy employees and students who enjoy being with us and are holistically transformed and become change agents in their communities
To maintain an atmosphere of trust, love, faithfulness and accountability
To instill the spirit of hard work and excellency among the students and entire school community
In terms of corporate social responsibility,
each year the school spends at least 500,000frw to
support needy communities.
Highland was the best performer in the 2023/2024 national leaving examination at the national
level and was awarded
Construction of a world class basketball court in partnership with NBA Africa and Opportunity International
Constant high performance in the Rwanda national exams since 2013 when the first cohort did PLE.
Construction of enough modern school structures so that the school is now on its premises from the rented ones.
The school has been able to support over 50 pupils from most vulnerable families, some of whom are now in high school

I actively oversee the implementation of our school’s vision and mission by working closely with our senior management team—offering guidance, mentorship, and a shared commitment to excellence. Together, we ensure that Highland remains a place where curiosity is encouraged, diversity is celebrated, and every learner is empowered to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
